Explainer films

One real question, answered on screen, from the first source to the final mix.

A KILN film takes one question your audience already has and answers it properly: how a system works, why a thing is built the way it is, what happens between the cause and the effect. The same studio, stages and standard as our own originals.

What you get

  • A finished film, mastered for the platforms you publish on
  • Short cut-downs made from the film, not around it
  • The source list behind every material claim

How it is made

  1. Question and angle
  2. Research and claims
  3. Story, script and storyboard
  4. Motion, voice and sound
  5. Quality checks before release

Motion & coded visuals

Diagrams, maps and machines drawn in code, so every frame is exact.

Most of what we put on screen is drawn in code: systems, flows, cutaways and title sequences that move to a designed curve. A changed number is a re-render, not a redraw, and nothing on screen is invented to fill a gap.

What you get

  • Coded scenes, diagrams and title sequences
  • Motion designed shot by shot, not from a preset
  • Source per shot, so a revision changes only what changed

How it is made

  1. Storyboard and animatic
  2. Camera and motion design
  3. Coded rendering
  4. Frame review against the storyboard

Research & scripting

The working before the film: sources found, claims checked, lines written to be said.

Research comes first. We find the primary sources, trace each claim the film will make to one of them, and only then write. The script is written for the ear: one idea per line, said in plain words.

What you get

  • A research pack built on primary sources
  • A claim-by-claim source list
  • A story outline and a script ready to record

How it is made

  1. Idea and angle
  2. Research and claims
  3. Story and script
  4. Editorial review

Localization (EN · AR · ES)

Each film made for the language it ships in, not subtitled after the fact.

Every KILN film ships in English, Arabic and Spanish. Narration is recorded per language, on-screen text is set for it, right to left included, and timing is checked again in each cut.

What you get

  • Narration in English, Arabic and Spanish
  • On-screen text set per language, right to left included
  • Captions and titles for each version

How it is made

  1. Translation and adaptation
  2. Voice and sound per language
  3. Text and layout per language
  4. Quality checks on every version
